I wish I knew on down which road to go...
About a month ago I did but now I really, really don't.
She told me that poetry was masturbatory...
But poetry is how men, you see
Gain their glory in this world.
Tell the story about the girl.
Who wouldn't believe half the shit that you later wrote down.
And now I've got to climb this rope in record time.
And I've got to find some brand new words to mime.
Telling them daytime stories to the night.
For weeks at a time until my words began to rhyme,
And then they turned into this hymn.
And now the page won't turn...
Either cause'a the wind,
Or the pounding of my fist.
I seen you cryin'.
Jealousy can damage your brain.
And its the worst kind to try and reverse.
And if its all just fine go head and put a bullet in your mind.
Go on and do it if you say you're gonna do it.
Go find some strangers on the street and show em' a really bad time.
Day into night into night is today.
Tellin them daytime stories to the night.
Daytime... Nighttime.
For weeks at a time until my words began to rhyme.
And then they turned into this hymn.
And now the page won't turn,
Either cause'a the wind... or the pounding of my fist.
I seen you in the quarter
With Son of Sam's daughter.
You're steady breathin' fire on my funeral pyre.
Hangin' in the corner spot
For what Little Jack Horner's got.
That same fuckin' creep thats fucking Little Bo Peep.
Just ask that fake Mother Goose Bitch
Down on Poland Avenue- she's rich.
I said, "Is it still rainin'?"
She said, "No I stopped sellin' cocaine."
And decided to retire to Dauphine and Desire.
But upon further reflection, thats the wrong intersection.
Traipse and I trifle, Striped Sock Unicorn on a Unicycle.
I seen you in the quarter
With Son of Sam's daughter.
You're steady breathin' fire on my funeral pyre.
I seen you in the quarter
With Son of Sam's daughter.
La La La La La La La La La
Hey, that's great...
Can you tell me whats today's Date?
